Sliding Puzzle
Classic 8-tile puzzle: slide pieces into the empty space until the numbers run 1 through 8 from top-left to bottom-right.
Play sliding puzzle
Tap a tile next to the gap to move it.
How to play
- Only tiles next to the empty cell (up, down, left, or right) can move-never diagonally.
- Each tap swaps that tile with the empty space.
- Goal: 1-3 on the top row, 4-6 on the middle, 7-8 on the bottom, gap bottom-right.
- New puzzle shuffles with legal moves only (always solvable).
Tips
Work row by row. If you get stuck, start a New puzzle.
About Sliding Puzzle
The Sliding Puzzle gives you a scrambled picture split into tiles with one empty space. You slide tiles into the gap one at a time until the picture is back in the right order.
It is a calm logic game that rewards planning. Random clicking rarely works, but a methodical approach solves every board.
Tips to play better
- Solve the top row first, then the next row, working downwards.
- Finish the last two rows by completing columns from left to right.
- If you get stuck, undo a few moves mentally and try a different path instead of repeating the same shuffle.
