About Tic-Tac-Toe
Tic-Tac-Toe is played on a three-by-three grid. You place your mark and try to get three in a row, across, down or diagonally, before the computer does.
Though the rules are simple, it is a nice way to practise planning ahead and blocking an opponent. Against careful play, most games end in a draw.
Tips to play better
- Taking the centre square gives you the most winning lines.
- If you start in a corner, you create more chances for a double threat.
- Always check whether the computer is one move from winning before you make your own plan.
